Dr. Oz: Take Vitamin D to Avoid Cancer, Diabetes

Take Vitamin D to Avoid Cancer, Diabetes

By Dr. Mehmet Oz and Dr. Mike Roizen, MDs

Tiger Woods won it in 2000, 2002, and 2008; Rory McIlroy won it in 2011; Jordan Spieth, in 2015.

But what did these three have in common at the 2018 U.S. Open? This triple threat didn't even make the cut.

Special: Doctor: All Multivitamins Are Not the Same

It's tough to see a triple threat like these guys booted out of the Open. But some triple threats need to be kicked to the sidelines.

And that's what the mighty vitamin D may help do to breast cancer, colon cancer, and diabetes.

A study from UC San Diego School of Medicine found that women over age 55 with higher levels of vitamin D — above 60 nanograms per milliliter (ng/ml) — had one-fifth the risk of breast cancer as those with less than the recommended levels (20-50 ng/ml).

Another study, the largest of its kind, from the American Cancer Society, the Harvard T.H. Chan School of Public Health, and the National Cancer Institute, found that lower levels of vitamin D are linked to colorectal cancer risk. Below current guidelines, a 31% increase in risk; above the guidelines, a 22% reduction in risk.

Finally, a third study from UC San Diego School of Medicine and Seoul National University found that people with blood levels of vitamin D above 30 ng/ml had one-third of the risk of diabetes, and those with levels above 50 ng/ml had one-fifth the risk.

So get a blood test to measure your D level, and if it's low, ask your doctor how to bring it up to 60 ng/ml or better with diet and supplements.

Dr. Mehmet Oz is host of the popular TV show “The Dr. Oz Show.” He is a professor in the Department of Surgery at Columbia University and directs the Cardiovascular Institute and Complementary Medicine Program at New York-Presbyterian Hospital.

Dr. Mike Roizen is chief medical officer at the Cleveland Clinic Wellness Institute, an award-winning author, and has been the doctor to eight Nobel Prize winners and more than 100 Fortune 500 CEOs.

3 Out of 5 Adults Fail to Heed Harvard Advice for Healthy Aging

Harvard scientists reviewed 35 years of vitamin research. Their conclusion? Most adults do not consume an optimal quantity of vitamins by diet alone.

It's not surprising. The Centers for Disease Control (CDC) reports that 76% of adults don’t eat enough fruit. And 87% of adults don’t eat enough vegetables.

So here’s what Harvard researchers recommended:

“Every adult should take a multivitamin daily as a safe and inexpensive way to optimize health.”

According to the Harvard School of Public Health website: “A daily multivitamin is an inexpensive nutrition insurance policy. Try to take one every day.”

Unfortunately, 3 out of 5 adults fail to take multivitamins. Plus, typical multivitamin formulas often forget to add enough antioxidants. These antioxidants are necessary to neutralize cell-damaging free radicals.

What’s more, nutritional shortfalls are even more common in those folks over 50.

Older people have a diminished ability to absorb the vitamins they need.

And the diets of older adults often lack sufficient key nutrients, particularly antioxidants. Plus, certain medications also deplete the aging body of nutrients.

These issues worried four respected physicians on the Medix Select Medical Advisory Board. So they joined forces to develop the comprehensive multivitamin formula ALPHA32™.

An Inexpensive Nutrition Insurance Policy Perfect for Seniors

ALPHA32 includes 32 key nutrients, including antioxidant-containing vitamins A, C, E, D, and folate. Other antioxidants in ALPHA32 include selenium, lutein, and lycopene. Plus, it contains a proprietary blend of 28 different natural fruits and vegetables.

That's why ALPHA32 offers such broad support for the aging body. For the heart, brain, immune system, bones, thyroid, eyes, and the body’s energy production. All in just 2 tablets a day.

Now you can get your hands on a 30-day trial supply of this advanced multivitamin and try it for yourself.

Article Icon 1Paxton Investigating Solar Companies

Texas Attorney General Ken Paxton has launched an investigation into four residential solar power companies for alleged violations of the state's Deceptive Trade Practices-Consumer Protection Act.

In a press release, Paxton claimed his office had received more than 100 formal complaints against San Antonio-based CAM Solar Inc., Houston-based Lone Star Solar Services LLC, San Francisco-based SunRun Inc., and Freedom Forever LLC of Temecula, California.

"Thousands of Texans have been targeted by companies selling solar panel systems, and it's imperative that these companies are held responsible for any lies or deceptive marketing they use," Paxton said.

Consumer group Texas Appleseed has collected statements from multiple alleged victims of fraudulent solar power companies, and Houston outlets ABC13 and KPRC 2 have interviewed customers of Freedom Forever and SunRun who claimed they were charged more than $130,000 for agreements they were pressured to sign and didn't fully understand.

Article Icon 1Waymo Mishaps in San Antonio

Following Waymo's launch in San Antonio in February, several mishaps involving the company's autonomous vehicles have left locals scratching their heads.

Over the weekend, an occupied Waymo vehicle got stuck facing the wrong direction in a Whataburger drive-thru lane. Police manually moved the car after its self-driving mode was deactivated.

The same day, a Waymo vehicle had to be towed after getting stranded at a high-water crossing. No passengers were inside at the time.

And last week, one of the company's vehicles ignored a cop's directions and proceeded in the wrong direction through a one-way school zone. It was a "scary and dangerous" situation, said parent Pam Antal.

One Day Left to Invest in the ‘Nvidia of Energy’ at $7.77/share

Nvidia’s valuation surged by 1,092% in just three years when it became the backbone of AI. But AI has a massive energy problem Nvidia can’t fix

As AI data centers begin consuming more power than entire nations like Sweden or Argentina, Frontieras North America’s patented technology reforms coal into high-value commodities like hydrogen and diesel without burning it. It creates a technical carbon to replace coal that burns as clean as natural gas. Under a White House that favors energy production on our home soil, it could unlock up to $2.1 Trillion in energy potential.

Here’s why you shouldn’t miss this last chance to invest at $7.77/share

  • “FASF” ticker reserved on the NASDAQ

  • $850M flagship facility in development

  • $20 million raised from investors so far

As a perfect storm of breakthroughs sets up the company for potential valuation impact, you have just one day left to invest at the current price. Lock in the $7.77 share price before the window closes on April 9, 2026.

The Next $435B Energy Empire Is Being Minted

In today’s dollars, John D. Rockefeller would be worth $435 billion. But “oil money” is old news, and what’s next might surprise investors in 2026: a $2.1 Trillion opportunity in “clean” coal.

Now is the “Rockefeller” moment for Frontieras as they reform coal into hydrogen, diesel and other valuable commodities (just like Rockefeller did with oil). With a White House that favors domestic energy, the NASDAQ ticker FASF reserved, and land officially purchased for their flagship coal reformation plant, Frontieras is positioned for potential valuation impact.

You have until April 9 at 11:59 PM PT to invest in Frontieras at $7.77/share.*

This is a paid advertisement for Frontieras’s Regulation A offering. Please read the offering circular at https://invest.frontieras.com/ Reservation of the ticker symbol is not a guarantee that we will be listed on the NASDAQ. Listing on the NASDAQ is subject to approvals. Under Regulation A+, a company has the ability to change its share price by up to 20%, without requalifying the offering with the SEC.
